Emily Kirk F.C.C.A – Managing Director – Sheffield & Doncaster Offices

Emily brings over 19 years of experience in professional practice, joining Royston Parkin as a Director in 2023. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong track record in delivering outstanding client service, strategic business advice, and driving profitable growth and operational efficiency.

As Managing Director, Emily now leads the firm’s strategic direction and operational performance. Working closely with Phil, the Commercial Director, she is focused on strengthening the client relationships, enhancing service delivery, and supporting the continued growth and success of Royston Parkin.

Phil Emery F.M.A.A.T – Commercial Director – Doncaster Office

Phil has over 20 years of experience in professional practice and became part of Royston Parkin in 2017 following the merger with Broderick & Leslie.

Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in digital accountancy platforms and a deep understanding of what businesses need to function at their best.

As Commercial Director, Phil plays a key role in driving the firm’s digital strategy and client engagement. He has built strong working relationships across a diverse client base and serves as Royston Parkin’s Xero Advisor, while remaining proficient in all major digital accounting platforms.

Melanie Holt M.A.A.T – Manager – Sheffield & Doncaster Offices

Melanie joined Royston Parkin at the beginning of 2008. She qualified as an Accounting Technician in 1989 and has had more than 30 years’ experience working in local accountancy practices, mostly specialising in small owner-managed businesses. She is now a manager covering both offices and is the Quickbooks Online Advisor for Royston Parkin but is conversant across all digital platforms.

Nena Bushe – Practice Manager – Sheffield & Doncaster Office

Nena joined A. Criddle & Co in 1989, prior to the firm merging with Royston Parkin in 1991. Before this, she worked for Carnell Jaguar as a sales receptionist. 

She joined the firm as a receptionist and over the years has gained vast experience and knowledge of the business and its clients. She now holds the position of Practice Manager and prides herself on knowing everything about Royston Parkin and has forged longstanding relationships with its clients.

Phil Auckland F.C.C.A – Client Manager – Sheffield Office

Phil joined Royston Parkin as a manager in February 2018 with over 10 years’ experience working in accountancy practices gained both during and after completing a degree in Accountancy and Finance. 

He enjoys the challenge of helping owner-managed businesses to meet their goals and specialises in Sage software – both ‘Sage 50 cloud’ desktop versions and Sage Business Cloud Accounting online versions.  Phil is the SAGE Advisor for Royston Parkin but is conversant across all digital platforms.

Richard Steventon – Client Manager – Doncaster Office

Richard joined Royston Parkin as a manager in June 2022. He has gained detailed knowledge and experience working in accountancy practices throughout South Yorkshire since 1990, dealing with a wide range of businesses from sole traders through to large companies and their associated tax affairs. He left the industry in 2016 and spent six years working for a NHS Company as their Head of Finance. During this period he gained extensive knowledge of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, tendering for bids as well as managing a team in what was a very fast paced business sector. Richard is now back working in the Accountancy industry looking forward to delivering an excellent service to all clients.  Richard has always enjoyed working with clients, adding value to their business as well as building working relationships. 

Ben Soulby

Ben Soulby – Client Manager – Doncaster Office

Ben joined Royston Parkin as a manager in November 2024 having formerly managed a Scunthorpe-based practice, and brings with him over 16 years of experience in the accounting industry. Providing tailored accounting and tax advice, and technical expertise covering all sectors, Ben is known for his approachable style and ability to make tax less terrifying; he’s here to translate the legalities of accounting and tax into plain English, with a smile. 

Ben started his accountancy career from school having sought out an apprenticeship with a firm in his hometown of Scunthorpe and progressing up the ladder to Accounting Technician, qualifying in 2013, and has a particular strength in medical accounting. 

An avid petrolhead, Ben still manages to make it into work despite driving a 15-year-old Alfa Romeo.

Lynn Pridmore F.C.C.A., A.C.A. – Consultant – Sheffield & Doncaster Offices

After a History degree at Warwick University Lynn trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in Birmingham and Sheffield, gaining experience auditing all types of business, especially in the manufacturing sector. This also gives her a vast knowledge of large business accounting and control systems. 

In 1986 she joined a local Sheffield practice to gain experience with small businesses. In 1991, she joined Royston Parkin as a manager, becoming a partner in 1994. 

From 1st July 2025, Lynn became a Consultant providing tax and technical support as well as continuing to advise clients directly

Andy Froggatt F.C.C.A. – Consultant – Sheffield & Doncaster Offices

Andy first joined Royston Parkin in 1987. Looking to expand his experience he moved to Gibson Booth in 1990, in Barnsley. Then in 1993 he was appointed financial controller of an independent company running the business of Sheffield Moat House Hotel’s property. In 1995 Andy returned to Royston Parkin as manager of the Sheffield Office and then became a Director. From 1st July 2025 Andy became a Consultant to the business continuing to give coaching and mentoring advice, to aid business growth.
